Natural Beauty
If it's Inward, it's Outward
By Gloria Gilbčre, N.D., D.A.Hom., Ph.D.
Your
skin is a reflection of your inward health.
No amount of skin care products, facial
treatments, cover-up cosmetics or nutritional
supplements, can take the place of my “beauty
from the inside-out” natural beauty program!
The skin is your
body's largest organ of absorption and
elimination – acting as a filter and protecting
your body against the elements. With continual
exposure to chemicals and toxic substances, is
it any wonder your skin shows more and more
signs of stress, aging, and skin problems?
The skin not only
acts as a barrier, it is
also the body's “exit
strategy” – constantly striving to release
toxins from within.
When the body (liver,
kidneys, and lymphatics) can no longer
neutralize the amount of toxic matter and
by-products, the body attempts to reduce its
overall toxic load by eliminating toxins through
the skin causing disorders like acne, rosacea,
psoriasis, hives, eczema, and premature aging.
In my
experience, it is evident that it is just as
important to care for the skin from the inside
as from the outside – maybe even more important.
When you reduce the internal toxic load, you'll
have clearer skin because skin responds on a
cellular level.
In
this section, I'll be sharing information,
secrets and new products I've discovered to help
you have healthier skin – skin that has a
healthy “glow”! (In my section “Non-Toxic
Living”
you'll learn the importance of reducing the
external toxic load and its relationship to
invisible illnesses as a consequence of
exceeding the body's capacity to reduce the
overall internal toxic load).
The following are examples of internal causes of
skin problems, but not limited to:
Auto-intoxication
–
the root of many skin disorders including, but
not limited to, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, hives,
eczema, premature aging. Auto-intoxication is
the process by which the body literally poisons
itself by maintaining a cesspool of decaying
matter in the colon. The toxins released by the
decay process get into the bloodstream and every
cell is affected, including skin cells.
Note:
Autointoxication must be either ruled out or
eliminated before any other protocols for skin
disorders should be considered. Are you
suffering from autointoxication? Check out the
symptoms and protocol in the

Intensive Matters E-Guide.
A congested
liver –
contributes to the
build-up of toxin that can no longer be
neutralized. The liver, the largest organ inside
the body, is designed to be the processing plant
to neutralize toxic substances. When the liver
is overburdened from the colon “dumping”
substances quicker than it can neutralize them,
disease and disorders, including skin disorders,
set in. The liver is the only organ that
purifies the bloodstream and is capable of
regenerating. It is important to keep your liver
healthy and to consciously keep the toxic load
reduced.
Compromised
kidney function –
contributor to skin disorders.
contributes
The kidneys, or “master chemists” play a vital
role in ridding the body of toxins, as do the
liver and colon—the kidneys filter potentially
dangerous impurities out of the blood and
discard them daily through the bladder in the
form of urine. The kidneys also help maintain
normal chemistry level of cells, maintain a
health-enhancing acid/alkaline balance, and
assist in the production of red blood cells.
Remember that skin health and beauty is
developed and maintained on a cellular level!
Parasites
–
contribute to the overload of toxins in your body and weaken all
the body's immune functions. Parasites thrive in
the intestinal tract where they become “obese”
when fed their favorite diet of sugars,
processed foods and junk foods, excessive
carbohydrates and candida yeast. Parasites
overload your system with their waste, which is
then reabsorbed into the bloodstream.
Scientists have
identified over 300 types of parasites thriving
in our American population—it's not just
a problem in underdeveloped countries! Find out
how parasites are contracted and transmitted,
and what to do about them in
Invisible
Illnesses.
Yeast overgrowth
(Candida albicans) –
a
single-cell microorganism that develops feeding
tubes called hyphae which grow directly into the
intestinal walls causing them to become porous.
This thinning of the intestinal walls allows
toxins, undigested proteins and carbohydrates to
flow through the bowel wall – absorbing into the
body and blood, clinically known as
intestinal permeability and commonly known
as leaky
gut syndrome.
Some of the skin
symptoms of yeast overgrowth are:
hives, eczema,
psoriasis, profuse sweating without physical
exertion, acne, nail
fungus, skin blotching
and discoloration and redness
on the face, neck and ears
that is rough but not
itchy or raised.
What can you do
to preserve or regain that
healthy outward glow?
